So I’m lying here in bed enjoying the (very faint) white noise that my Kichler ceiling fan is emitting and realizing that I almost passed it up for an option more than 3x the price and felt compelled to write this review. I’ve owned this fan for about 6 months now and if you’re reading this, you probably have also read the many reviews about how noisy this fan is. I have lived with and slept under a fair few ceiling fans and have no idea if there was a bad batch that drove the negative reviews but this fan is perfect in my books. The installation was simple enough that I could switch it out for my current (super outdated) fan without hiring an electrician to complete the task-which was key in the midst of a pandemic when it was virtually impossible to find someone with availability. I have only ever used the fan on its lowest setting and it has great air movement even through the summer months. Finally. The noise you ask? Next to nothing. Perhaps I’m used to the rickety swaying ceiling fans of my youth but this is the perfect, nearly silent swoosh of only air moving. I would highly recommend this and if it died tomorrow, would order again in a heartbeat. The black against the white ceiling is striking without being obtrusive. Looks like a great product but we returned it because the blade color is too greenish for us. So we ordered the same fan in a different color. Hopefully the different color one is okay.

I purchased four of these to replace older fans/fixtures in my home. They’re beautiful - sleek, modern, and the matte white makes it so the fan isn’t the first thing you see when you walk into a room. They are quiet, and only about 10” in height so great for 8’ ceilings like I have in my older home.

I installed three using the included receivers/wall switches - it was easy to do, and I like that I can control the fan and light independently, including dimming the light (press and hold the light button) and adjust the direction and speed of the fan. I don’t care for the 80s remote look of the wall switches, but I can get over a small aesthetic for function. It sounds stupid, but remember to turn the switch on when using the “learn” function to pair the switch to the fan itself; the instruction manual shows a small image of this but it isn’t written out, is easily overlooked, and it could have saved me a bit of time. More of a user-end issue but if I can save others from this silly mistake, then so be it. The fan/light settings are remembered, but they do take a second to come on when switching from off to on. The fourth light was installed with two switches - a light dimmer and a 3-speed fan switch, both from the Lutron Skylark Contour collection. They work great, although the light flicks once before coming on using this dimmer (it doesn’t do this with the Kichler wall switch), and I cannot reverse, but I knew that going into this particular setup.
